In French the word Tracter means “tow” or “to tow”.
Tracter means a hillbilly girl who likes country music and cowboy boots. She is a female hick. This word originated from the hick song “she thinks my tracter’s sexy”. This word is normally not used with positive meaning. For example “That tracter looks like a fool in her gap shirt”
Plowing these fields in the hot summer sun
Over by the gate lordy here she comes
With a basket full of chicken and a big cold jug of sweet tea
I make a little room and she climbs on up
Open up a throttle and stir a little dust
Just look at her face she ain’t a foolin me
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
It really turns her on
She’s always staring at me
While I’m chuggin along
She likes the way it’s pullin’ while we’re tillin’ up the land
She’s even kind of crazy ’bout my farmer’s tan
She’s the only one who really understands what gets me
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
We ride back and forth until we run out of light
Take it to the barn put it up for the night
Climb up in the loft sit and talk with the radio on
She said she’s got a dream and I asked what it is
She wants a little farm and a yard full of kids
And one more teeny weeny ride before I take her home
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
It really turns her on
She’s always staring at me
While I’m chuggin along
She likes the way it’s pullin’ while we’re tillin’ up the land
She’s even kind of crazy ’bout my farmer’s tan
She’s the only one who really understands what gets me
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
Well she ain’t into cars or pick up trucks
But if it runs like a Deere man her eyes light up
She thinks my tracter….
she thinks my tracter’s sexy
it really turns her on
she’s always starin’ at me
while i’m chuggin’ along
she likes the way it’s pullin’ while we’re tillin’ up the land
she’s even kinda crazy ’bout my farmer’s tan
she’s the only one who really understands what gets me
she thinks my tracter’s sexy
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
She thinks my tracter’s sexy
The word tractor originated from the Latin word trahere, meaning pull. Today, farm tractors are used for drawing in, towing or pulling farm objects that are extremely hard to move. Farm tractors are commonly seen on farms to push agricultural machineries or trailers that plough or harrow fields.
Farm tractors from the 1800s and early 1900s were powered by steam engines. These farm tractors were phased out due to instability of the steam engine that caused explosions, or trapping the driver in a belt driven attachment. Subsequent farm tractors were built with internal combustion engines. However, many farmers were still killed in accidents when the farm tractors rollover crash on top of them and crushed them to death. Rollover crash happen most frequently when the farm tractors are driven along steep slopes.
Modern farm tractors are built with a rollover protection system (ROPS) that protects the operator from being crushed in the event of rollover accident. It was the New Zealand legislation that first required ROPS to be built-in to farm tractors in the 1960s.
Garden tractor transaxle is a range transmission device in garden tractor to provide unique drive power within a speed transmission.
Garden tractor transaxle provides three forward and one reverse normal speed drives and two or three forward creep speed drives of extreme reduction ratio. In some cases, the garden tractor transaxle is a combination of a transmission and rear axle as one unit.
It is common to employ a planetary epicyclic gear train in these transaxles to provide more compact and economical construction. A friction drive clutch is contained within the transaxle to receive input from reduction gear and transmit to the speed transmission main shaft.
When the lever is placed in LOW position (reduction speed; 2:1 ratio), all the gears in the garden tractor transaxle are reduced by half, which means the tractor will move half its speed. When the lever is placed in HIGH position (1:1 ratio), the gears in the transaxle turn their normal speeds.
Creeper drives are required when mowing heavy grass, plowing a garden, pushing snow or hauling heavy loads up a steep hill, doing all this especially with a small engine. Creeper drive is an optional accessories when purchasing a garden tractor transaxle.
The teeth on the reverse idler gear get worn quickly if the garden tractor is not brought to a full stop before placing the transmission shifter into reverse. Many tractor operators prefer to jam their transmission shifter in gear and this will grind the teeth down.
Once the teeth on the reverse idler gear are worn, the transaxle jumps out of reverse as soon as it strains a little. To replace the reverse idler, the entire transaxle must be completely disassembled. There is no other way to fix it.
Garden Tractor Salvage
Garden tractor salvage is about finding the rebuildables for repowering the garden tractor. Most common garden tractor salvage is related to rebuilding and repowering of garden tractor attachments and hydrostatic transmission.
Rebuildables for Garden Tractor Salvage are tractor’s blade, internal electrical wiring, electric belt clutch, ignition switch, PTO clutch, PTO switch, carburetor, fuel pump. There are many good websites on garden tractor troubleshooting to assist owners to perform garden tractor salvage operations before sending for repair.

A garden tractor loader is a front-mounted bucket that can be raised, lowered, and tilted forward and backward hydraulically.
Garden tractor loaders can be forced into the digging by forward motion of the tractor and retracted and swung by backing and steering the tractor. Garden tractor loaders can be used for heavy machinery operations for loading trucks, digging basements, and doing bulldozer work. They can also transport material over moderate distances.
Garden tractor loaders can be built in-house, complete with steel and hydraulics. It is also possible to use the garden tractor’s on-board hydraulic system to power the loader. The garden tractor loaders can also be connected with the dash mounted control levers on the garden tractor.
The loader assembly may be a removable attachment or permanently mounted. Removable garden tractor loaders are more common so that it can be detached and replaced with other devices or tools when necessary.
A Loader can be mounted on any tractor that has a strong enough frame and front end to handle the weight of a loader. The tractor should have a thick twin rail frame running the length of the tractor and a cast iron front axle with strong front spindles and bearings in front rims.
A garden tractor loader requires at least 10 HP engine to operate. Hydrostatic transmissions are preferred because they transfer power more smoothly to the ground which saves stress on major drive line.

The popular Craftsman Garden Tractors are:
Craftsman garden tractors are usually considered best buy for power-to-price. Craftsman’s hefty engine is able to pull attachments without a hint of strain, and it easily mowed through tall grass. This is one reason that Craftsman engine is louder. Craftsman garden tractors are powerful and inexpensive.
